NOS "B" set of 8 irons blades cutters for Record 045C wood plane fits 405 (45)

Description: You are bidding on one set of 8 irons or blades or cutters for a Record 045C combination wood plane as pictured. This gets confusing! Record called the 045 plane the 045C, and seperately sold several different sets of cutters for the plane. This is the "B" cutter set, called "CS045B" on the plastic wrap. The "A" set had the smaller plough cutters (not included here). These appear to be NOS or New Old Stock, and never used. Each one has the lacquer coating on it that was done at the factory, and I had to work very patiently and gently to get them unstuck from the plastic holder, because the lacquer had stuck to the plastic. They appear to be identical to Record 405 cutters other than the marking on the plastic holder.All of the cutters are marked "RECORD" and with their size. All of them have the notch in the upper corner, similar to Stanley. Overall lengths are 3-9/16", plus or minus roughly a 16th. Included are:--- 2 plough cutters -- 5/8", and 7/8". --- 5 beading cutters -- 1/8", 3/16", 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2". --- 1 tongue cutter 1/4" with its depth stop. --- and the plastic wrap which is marked in part "RECORD MARPLES CS045B MADE IN ENGLAND BAHCO RECORD TOOLS LTD PARKWAY WORKS SHEFFIELD ENGLAND". Condition of the cutters is excellent, appearing to be NOS or New Old Stock, and each one still has its lacquer coating visible on the sharp edge. Condition of the plastic wrap is excellent, except that there are some remnants of the lacquer coating stuck to the plastic. It has a few creases, and I don't see any slices in it, which is amazing. The Post Office now has several prices increases during each year, raising a few things but not everything at each increase. And they now raise their rates during the Holidays, which means early October to late January. Their big increases are in January, timed to start at the end of the Holiday rates, and this year is no exception. And it's not just the postage rates, the insurance charges and the delivery signature charges have also gone up. There is now a surcharge for Priority Mail packages over 20" long, and another for Priority Mail packages over 30" long, because those longer packages won't fit in their automatic machines. And the Post Office has discontinued the Regional Flat Rate boxes, which were often less expensive for certain sizes and weights. I try to pick the best shipping option for each listing, based both on what is the least expensive and on what I think is needed to protect the item. If the value is $250 or over, eBay requires your signature at delivery for the buyer and seller protections to be in effect.SALES TAX: Interstate sales tax is now the reality on all the major selling websites including eBay. If I ship to a state where eBay is required to collect sales tax, eBay will charge you the sales tax for your location. There is lots of information available from eBay that explains it in much more detail. The sales tax is completely out of my hands -- I don't have anything to do with deciding whether to charge tax, I don't have anything to do with deciding the tax rate, and I never see any of the funds that are collected, they go directly to eBay.SELLING OUTSIDE OF EBAY: Why would I risk my lengthy good standing with eBay to save you a couple of dollars? Especially when you ask on an email that is sent through the eBay email system? Please don't ask, the answer is no.INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: I no longer ship Internationally other than Canada. If you are in Canada, ask for what the shipping would cost, but be prepared for it to be $$$$$. AUCTIONS: I won’t end an auction listing early to sell it to you directly. As a bidder, I really dislike going back at the end of an auction to bid, only to discover that the seller had ended the auction early.
