Description: Up for your consideration is an authentic New Old Deadstock Vintage 1960s BLUE MOLESKIN French Workwear / Chore Pants / Bleu de Travail. Gorgeous French Blue color in 100% dense cotton moleskin. It was made in France by Le Mont Rouge company of durable moleskin and quality workmanship to last a lifetime or longer.Moleskin is a heavy cotton fabric, woven and then sheared to create a short, soft pile on one side. The feel and appearance of its nap is similar to felt or chamois. Clothing made from moleskin is noted for its softness and durability. Its name is due to the soft brushed hand of the fabric, similar to the skin of a mole. Maintain moleskin’s tight weave—and preserve its most valued qualities—by machine-washing it then line-drying. Colors will gradually fade, and the result is a well-worn and weathered look. In fact, the unique patina of moleskin is one of its charms. I was able to remove them just by running my fingernails over them.
