Description: This offering is for an antique very early 20th century photograph taken by Harmon Percy Marble of Native American Indians. This image features a Native American Man identified in pencil on the back as Jim Crow Last of the Blanket Indians. The typed note included with the image describes his clothing and that he is Woodlands Menominee. Mr. Marble worked for the Indian Service from 1911 through 1926 when he retired. During that time he took hundreds of photo's of the Navajo, the Hopi, the Sioux and the Menominee. His images are highly desired for their first hand, often unposed qualities of a now vanished way of Native American life. The image measures 5" by 7" and the condition is excellent with no rips, tears or repairs.
