The chaplet begins with a gold-toned heart-shaped medal which actually has abbreviated instructions for praying the chaplet in English. This is followed by the first small gold-toned 3/8" diameter round Blood Shedding medal, then a 1" oval gold-toned Miraculous Medal centerpiece which has a special relic - a bit of wood from the Chapel of the Apparitions in Paris, France - where our Blessed Mother appeared to St Catherine Laboure and showed her the Miraculous Medal she wanted made. Then there are five sets of five beads each and a final set of 3 beads, separated by the 2nd through 7th blood shedding medals. The blood shedding medals are gold-toned pewter made in the USA; the centerpiece was made in Italy; and the chaplet itself was handmade by me in the USA.The beads are all 5x8mm oval Olive Wood. There are a total of 33 beads which represents the number of years of Jesus' life on earth.
