Description: THESE ARE IN GRADE C CONDTIONSOLD INDIVIDUALLYRemoved from a warehouse in Chicago that replaced them in favor of florescent lighting, (yucky), many years agoi. these BIG lights are in excellent condition. These nice porcelain covered steel light fixtures are circa 1940's-1950's, manufactured by the Multi Lighting Co. The porcelain shades were simply cleaned of years of dust and nicotene,...lots of nicotene. Perhaps that protected them as they still have day-one shine. Only one shade has the "MULTI" manufacturers label. Notice the thick black porcelain band on the rim. These are in Grade "C" condition, plenty of chips as shown. If you're looking for original, with plenty of patina and character and an abundance of safety, these are for you. The original mogul (large) sockets were in excellent condition but not very efficient or user friendly. I replaced them with a brand new, medium base, standard household size, UL Listed socket along with a machined socket extension. This two inch extension allows the bulb to extend down into the shade rather than being lost up in the neck of the light and placed in the reflector. The advantage is much better light dispersion, far better. The UL Listed socket along with a good solid ground allows for safe use and ease of passing your inspections. My commercial customers love this and you will too. These lights will perform as new, only safer than ever.SOLD INDIVIDUALLYDid you notice the solid brass socket holder? Very cool...good stuff. All asbestos gaskets have been safely removed and replaced with new factory cut gaskets, a very important and often overlooked procedure. The shade is 18" in diameter. From the bottom of the light to the point the pipe enters the brass fitter is 12". Total height from the bottom to the top of the swivel hanger is 19". The galvanized down-rod is 6". I can change the down-rod to either 3" or 12" free of charge. The newer swivel hangers allow the lights to hang plumb, (vertical) even if your ceiling is not level, (horizontal) and also allows the lights to resist damage from accidental, (or purposeful), bumps and bruises. In order to safely ship the lights, they will be disassembled, to be easily reassembled by the buyer.I'm a very fast and careful shipper. These lights will be packed very well.
