Description: This amplifier was serviced in 2024 by North Reading Engineering and underwent a chassis and a complete electrical restoration. The original chassis top was replaced with a new make, bright chrome-plated, silk-screened, stainless-steel cover indistinguishable from the factory part. Factory speaker terminal blocks were replaced with new make Cinch and outfitted with combination screws. Bottom cover paint was stripped, primed and sprayed with automotive acrylic and baked. Factory thermistor replaced with encapsulated type (TDK), RCA inputs replaced. All fasteners replaced with electro-polished stainless-steel parts. High voltage, multi-section caps replaced with CE Mfg equivalents, rectifier/bias supply board reworked, board level Al-electrolytics replaced with Kemet PEG124s and Nichicon. Factory Bumblebee and Black Beauties caps replaced with MIT/Multicaps and Sprague Orange Drops. Used, but measure well tube set included (recommend retube however). This is not a simple "recap" but a complete restoration creating a museum quality embodiment of the MC240. Local pickup preferred, but will ship only to the 48 contiguous states.
