OpenWrt five-port multi-WAN Gigabit Router on Luxul XBR-4500 hardware

Description: FOR SALE: Luxul XBR-4500 five-port Gigabit router/firewall running OpenWrt. Originally, the device was a network router with controller functions for Luxul access points, as well as a platform for the delivery of subscription-based network security services. We repurposed it into a generalist standalone router and firewall by installing and configuring OpenWrt, an open-source operating system for networking equipment. The device is very similar to Luxul ABR-4500, except the Ethernet ports are on the front panel (on ABR-4500, they are on the back panel, next to the power intake). There are two features that can make this device attractive in certain situations:All ports are independent and fully configurable; each can be used as either LAN or WAN (right now, the device is configured with one WAN port and four LAN ports).The device has an internal power supply and plugs directly into the power socket, so no AC adapter is required. To test the device and make port functions consistent with on-device labeling, we made a few changes to the initial OpenWrt configuration. A detailed configuration note will be provided to the buyer. Alternatively, the buyer could simply reset the software to its initial state. The device runs on a dual-core 1.0 GHz Broadcom 53012 system-on-a-chip (SoC) with 512 MB of RAM and 512 MB of Flash storage. Networking (five Gigabit ports) is integrated into the SoC. The device is implemented in a desktop form factor. The case is all metal and exceptionally rigid. The device is passively cooled and completely silent.
