Description: This great 1947 Martini & Rossi print ad - with its black-tie pre-Bond guy and his party buddies - is both collectible and trivia quiz, a test we have failed so far ;) We'd like to know why the ad assures customers that that can "still get" M&R vermouth and that it is readily availble via "the Argentine". We know it wasn't prohibition, we know it was post-WWII, so we can't really sleuth out what happened to threaten the company's supply. We did a search and found loads of company history, but no answer to this moment in American cocktail culture. Would love to hear from you if you know! We rescued this great ad from a 1947 home and garden magazine and trimmed away any heavier age browning from the edges - all set for you to mount, frame, use in your crafting or throw in an acrylic frame or magnet back and decorate your fridge, home bar or wherever you keep the olives and party toothpicks. ;) 5" X 12" We ship in cello bags, between cardboard and in poly mailers.
