Description: Original Frank X Leyendecker (also known as FX Leyendecker) advertisement for Vogue Magazine issue of November 1913. Good condition, some vertical creases, as common. This ad is the inner cover of the early (small format 8"x11") Life Magazine, and the image is that of his cover illustration for that Vogue issue. You can see the cover which is the other side of the ad, and is a fanciful artwork of ballerina dancing on Earth globe in space. Note: this is the single double sided ad only, not the whole magazine. FX Leyendecker was the brother of the famed JC Leyendecker and he died young, his work is very prized today. Will be shipped in archival plastic polypropylene sleeve and archival backing board (not pasted down) for short or long term safe storage.
