Description: OSFP QSFP-DD SFP-DD Adapter for transceivers optical and ethernet modules. It's compatible with OSFP, SFP (SFP+, SFP28, SFP112, SFP-DD, SFP-DD112) and QSFP (QSFP+, QSFP28, QSFP-DD, QFP-DD800) modules. Adapter allows to cloning and (re)programming MSA standard modules with REVELPROG-IS programmer. You can read more about MSA standards by searching in google "MSA standard for transceivers (SFP, OSFP, QSFP, XFP)" Adapter requires REVELPROG-IS programmer to work - it's NOT included (please check our other items on ebay) Works also with protected* modules (MSA standard). *please note! Since update v1.8.2 (>2020) for REVELPROG-IS there is possibility to write also protected transceivers (if you know manufacturer password). There is also search password tool which allows in some cases to hack password using brute-force method. Please check latest REVELPROG-IS manual Chapter 7 for more details and youtube video "Write password protected SFP & QSFP transceivers with REVELPROG-IS programmer"* since REVELPROG-IS v1.9.1 (>2023) there is support for new type of transceivers: OSFP, SFP-DD and QSFP-DD. If you have REVELPROG-IS programmer with older version - don't worry - you can update it to latest version. Above coding board is more advanced version of SFP QSFP XFP adapter. Standard SFP and QSFP connectors are replaced with new SFP-DD and QSFP-DD connectors (which are backward compatible with SFP and QSFP). Old standard XFP is replaced with new OSFP connector. All important logic signals are available on external pins. All connectors are equipped with metal cages. New adapter is powered from USB-C instead of USB-B so it can deliver power for more power consuming transceivers. If you do not need support for Double-Density (SFP-DD QSFP-DD) or OSFP transceivers - you can stay with much cheaper QSFP SFP XFP board. It is possible to read/write module in MSA standard, change configuration area (manufacturer name, part name, serial number, configuration bytes etc.) , calculate checksums and write new config to the module. You can enable TX/RX optics using external pins (jumpers) and tune signal exactly for your needs.
