Description: Antique Otto August Kuhler (American, 1894-1976) etching, intaglio print, on laid paper titled "Fifth Avenue at 42nd Street, New York," edition of 50, depicting the New York City Public Library from a distant vantage point with numerous pedestrians and vehicles filling the city street before it and various multi-story structures and a skyscraper in the background. The perspective of the scene is rendered in expert atmospheric perspective by the use of line weight. Pencil signed "O Kuhler" to lower right margin. Housed and matted under glass in a chrome-painted wooden frame. Published by the “Architectural Forum” Christmas 1929. Plate: 7 3/4" H x 5 5/8" W. Sight: 8 1/4" H x 6" W. Framed: 12 1/4" H x 9 3/4" W.
