Description: Oxalis gigantea Family: Asparagaceae. The largest shamrock species! This is an unusual species from Mexico that forms woody stems and can become a shrub several feet tall. In a pot it can be trimmed to be a manageable size. The stems are covered in glossy semi-succulent leaves during the growing season. Leaves mostly drop in the summer dormant period. Makes yellow flowers during the growing season. Easy to grow. It is a winter grower so water regularly (in succulent terms) from fall until spring, then cut back or stop all together in the summer. It usually drops its leaves during the dormant period. The growing season is roughly September to May (but can vary). Protect from frost.You will receive the plant shown in the last 3 images.
