Description: Pair of Pre- Civil War Officer's Epaulettes. A type used by militia officers before and during the early period of the Civil War. Gilt boards and gilt brass shoulder crescents with narrow bullion fringe indicating use by a company grade officer. Brass hook on the underside, and finished with a yellow silk lining. Some sections of the fringe around the crescents are loose, but easily fixed. Overall condition is well used and toned.
