Pangaea Toys Greek General Achilles Troy Action Figure 1/6 Read Description

Description: PLEASE READ and SEE PICTURES: This is the original, rare Pangaea Toys Greek General. Many recasts have been made over the years, but I find that none of them match the head sculpt, accessories, and body of this figure. This set was purchased new and sealed from a fellow collector. Upon opening it, the pleather material present on Achilles’ tunic as well as the straps on the shield began to flake. This tends to occur on 1/6 figures due to age of the pleather material. As you can see in the photos, this material is still flaking and WILL continue to flake, as I have not peeled it all off. It can be completely removed if so desired, but the color of the material underneath is not the same. All is not lost, however. Great work has been done by customizers in the 1:6 community to find solutions to this issue, including creating new tunics out of improved materials that are not prone to flaking. Therefore, I recommend this figure as a great base on which to build a superior Achilles figure. As to the body itself, there is minor staining on the lower back of the neck and upper thigh of the figure due to the flaking. Whether this can be removed or not, I am not certain. There is also some paint variation of the blue veins throughout the body, as these were factory hand painted. The spear and sword are sharp and made of metal. This set includes the original “golden” helmet as well as the revised and improved replacement helmet Pangaea issued. It fits the head sculpt better, and the paint of this helmet better matches the armor. The plastic interior trays that hold the figure and accessories have wear. I have attached two photos showing where the plastic has ripped, torn, or detached.
