A very hard to find pipe. Used in excellent condition. Shows signs of wear and use, stem has slight wear and teeth chatter see photos. Chamber, draft, and stem are clear of debris. Made for Peterson by Laxey (Isle of Man, Man Pipes, Manxman, Manx) on the Isle of Man, Great Britain. Laxey was know for their work with African meerschaum pipes, who made pipes for Peterson, Barling, Nording, and in their own right. This style of finish, referred to as "Aboriginal", was carved mostly In meerschaum with only a few years in the early 70s thru early 80s in briar for Petersons .. ( see the Peterson book pg.311 Irwin & Malmberg) ….most often found in the 314/312 bent billiard with all other shape extremely hard to find and acquire….
