Description: Philadepelphia PA 1938 National Airmail Week Cover Nice Cachet May 15 1938 Philadelphia PA cancel Clean cover see images for condition In an effort to help the airline companies during the depression years and promote air mail service, a nation-wide public relations campaign was launched 76 years ago. The brainchild of Postmaster General James A. Farley, Air Mail Week, - celebrating 20 years of air mail service in the U.S. - encouraged every U.S. citizen to send an airmail letter during May 15 to 21. The campaign had a catchy slogan: "Receive Tomorrow's mail To-day!" We recently purchased a collector's lifetime collection of several thousand US flight covers. Please watch our listings as we present them in our eBay store. I always show both sides to better allow you to determine condition. Shipping is via First Class Mail. We happily combine shipping. When purchasing multiple items, add to your shopping cart, and when you check out you will only be charged one fee.
