It could certainly be used for cooking utensils as well. It is vintage with with the orange stamp on the bottom. The beautiful piece in this offering is in gorgeous condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing; again, there is no lid.This pattern was produced from 1983 - 2020 and has been subsequently discontinued. These pieces will become increasingly more difficult to find in this and gorgeous condition. Additionally, I have tons of other pieces in my inventory.
