Adcom's GTP 400 received rave reviews in it's day from Stereophile Magazine: "... the performance offered is simply superb for anything close to this price , and is always in the service of the music. ...The GTP-400 sets a new standard in the cost vs performance category, and you'll have to spend close to $1000 for a separate pre-amp and tuner in order to move to a higher level of performance." Released in 1988, the GTP-400 retailed for $350, that's almost $1,000 today! The GTP-400 has many high-end features like eight tuner presets and both Listening & Recording Selectors making dubbing & archiving a breeze, and allowing you to listen to one source while recording to another! The front panel has a 1/4" Headphone jack, Volume Balance, Bass & Treble controls, and buttons for Speakers, Inputs, Tuning & Presets, Stereo/Mono, Tape Monitor and a Loudness button that contours the sound dynamics perfectly for low level listening. The rear panel has RCA jacks for Main Out, CD In, two Tape Loops and a stereo Phono Input along with a grounding post for your turntable!
