Description: DescriptionFor sale is a lot of 153 vintage postcards. Many of the postcards are duplicates, with several copies of the same image, as noted below. In organizing this lot, I noticed that almost half of the postcards are from two wineries called "The Pleasant Valley Wine Co." and "The Taylor Wine Company." These two companies are where the duplicate postcards are from. In some instances, postcards have 10+ copies of the same exact image. A significant amount of the postcards are from places in the United States, mostly New York and the New England region of the country. There are a notable amount of postcards from countries in Europe (ex. Nice, France; Luxembourg; Athens, Greece; Brussels, Belgium). A majority of the postcards are 3.5 x 5.5 inches in size, with several that are 4 x 6 inches. Most of the postcards are in color, while there are several black and white postcards. None of the postcards were mailed or show indications of postage. Some show writing on the back, with travel notes from the previous owner. I have not photographed or shown all the different postcard images, but rather an accurate representation of the types of postcards for sale in this lot.
