Sorry it was a partly cloudy day when pictures were taken so the color & focus are off in the gallery image. ?'s please ask . In this auction is: RARE 1870s Hoosier Boy Mine miners Star UTAH by James Fennemore albumen photoThis is a rare early Utah image of a mine site as well as being by James Fennemore in the early 1870s. It needs some restoration in remounting the albumen where it has come loose and people can easily do that but I decided to leave it original. The mount itself is soft and the layers of paper are separating which they can also be fixed here & there to solidify it better. This being said, based on others taken here by Fennemore, the man by the wagon in front of the mine building is either the mine owner or is James Fennemore. The miners have a mine car with ore bucket on a mine rail track. If you research James Fennemore he was originally on the 1872 Powell expedition out west to which John Hillers was his assistant. ?'s please ask
