Description: Desperado Clef Notes was created for and distributed exclusively to the NYC press corp in 1974. It was very well received and a young Cameron Crowe, then a reporter for Rolling Stone magazine ( he went on to win an Oscar) told this seller, "They don't make bios like the Desperado Clef Notes anymore." A very limited edition of only 200 of these bios were published and distributed to the world press with offices in New York City. Seller wrote and created (see pix of credits) Desperado Clef Notes when she was Director of Publicity at Atlantic Records and worked closely with the Eagles at the label's Corporate Headquarters in NYC's Rockefeller Center. (Seller even acquisced to Don & Glenn's request for 2 limos because as they explained how could not be expected to squeeze into one limo with their dates AND Bernie and Randy as well. This copy of the Eagles Clef Notes selling for $350 has slightly curled edges (of approximstely an eighth of an inch in size) but the binding is perfectly intact and there are no tears or stains. Basically it is in excellent condition for having been created and produced 50 years ago. Holy moly where does the time go??? NOTE: This copy of Desperado Clef Notes is selling for less than a pristine copy that has sharp edges-- which seller has yet to list for $600. The Desperado album was and is a gorgeous sounding record but it was not a hit for the young Eagles. To quote what Dr, John said to Don Henley upon their first meeting at the Atlantic Records' in-house recording studio: Dr. John aka Mac Rebenac to 23 year old Don Henley: " Your first album was good but this Desperado album is a lemon." The 23 year old Don Henley was somewhat astounded by Mac's voluntary comment and replied: "Thanks a lot Doctor" Also included and pictured is a sticker from the Eagles 1977 tour. It is in pristine condition for being 47 years old and this exact sticker has listed and sold for as much as $49.99 Seller can ship this item immediately upon request rather than 3 business days turn around. Seller can also ship Priority Mail if buyer requests and pays for the service. From the collection of musicologist Sandy Gibson, former Director of Publicity at Atlantic Records.Musiographi is the geography of music and is registered at the Library of Congress.
