Brought straight from the ‘60’s, this Santa is memorable for so many reasons. It all starts with, the still Christmassy, red velour pants (For you younger folks in the crowd, ask anyone with gray hair what velour is.) with a peace sign belt buckle no less, green T shirt (still ‘60’s), and Santa has traded his red hat for a flower petal-print headband. This is the first Santa I’ve seen wearing leather sandals, but this Santa gets away with it. He is sporting a full length open gold velour coat without buttons, but it has white fur trim to set it off. His right hand is flashing the two-finger “peace” sign, his left is securing a green satchel brimming with (what else?) flowers over his left shoulder. From behind, you’ll see Santa’s hair is styled in a ponytail wrapped with a red string. Santa has a content facial expression with a satisfied smile. PEACE describes what Christmas may have been like some 60 years ago. The attention to detail is dead-on fashion perfect. The fit and finish is exactly as it should be. Everyone that visits your home for the holidays will comment and discuss Peace with you. You can’t not notice him. This Santa tops my list of favorite Santa’s.
