Rare and Extremely Beautiful Quintana Roo Special USA Edition Tri/Road Bike

Description: Completely restored and rebuilt Quintana Roo Steel Road/Tri bike. This is a retro beauty. The frame is Cromoly Steel from the famous Pacific Tube Company in California. The welds are spectacular. The frame is rigid but nimble. Quintana Roo in those early years had not yet become the triathlon guru’s. Their bikes were hand made by European masters. This USA Special Edition is no exception. The geometry is definitely more aggressive making it really fast on the road. There is even the argument by some, that the 26” wheels make the bike faster. This was my winter 2020 project. It kept my mind off things and put me in a state of bliss. I love this bike. It was a real pleasure hunting down components from the UK and Canada. I did a lot of the easy stuff stuff but whenever expertise and special tooling was required, it went to Master Tim at Sunset Cyclery. For example, he installed the new headset and crank. The drivetrain has been converted to the original Shimano Ultegra 600 Tricolor with mostly New old stock components.
