It appears that at one time this medal had a gold/gold-tone coating that has almostall worn off. King Louis IX was the only king of France canonized a saint. On this medal, he is carrying apillow with the crown of thorns resting upon it.The condition of this item is used with a lot of age and wear including discoloration. Please see photos for details.
