Description: This antique ginger jar is a beautiful piece of Chinese porcelain with a fascinating history. Hand-painted with intricate details, it features a two-horned, five-claw dragon, a symbol of imperial power and good fortune in Chinese culture. The jar is believed to date back to the Yuan dynasty, but its exact true age is unknown. The jar's primary material is porcelain, and it is multi-colored with a variety of shades and tones. This antique ginger jar is an original piece and has not been reproduced. It was likely created for the Son of Heaven or Emperor during the Qianlong period (1736-1795), making it a truly unique and special artifact of Chinese history. See write up on last picture. Does have some very light/little age crazing, but this jar is extremely old (picture 21). Measures approximately 10 inches tall including the lid and 9 inches diameter. Besides the very light crazing, in very good condition with no chips, breaks or cracks. Please view all pictures thoroughly. Selling as found "as is". Thank you for visiting our store.
