Description: ART DECO HANDBACK HANDLEWITH BLACK AMERICAN HEADCHERRY RED AMBER BAKELITE/ CATALIN This is a very rare and highly collectable Art Deco handback handle, showing a Black American or Native African with a hugh cherry red amber bakelite hairstyle. The head and ears were made out of carved hard wood with coloured glas eyes. One ear is missing, please see photos. The cherry red amber bakelite is c. max. 3,5 cm wide and 10 cm( measured from the middle of the circle) long and 8 mm thick. The head is attached to the black bakelite frame with black bakelite rings. The size of the handle is c. 20.8 cm x 9 cm x .09 cm and the weight is 87g.
