Description: I have never seen another cloisonne menu holder in my time collecting, so I believe these are pretty rare. By the cloud pattern, I would place these at late Qing or early Republic, and considering how small they are you have to appreciate the fantastic detail. Overall good condition. Copper on the front, brass on the back. The scroll work looks to be inlaid as well. Truly a remarkable set. Take a look at the photos of the red dragon, as there are a few age lines clearly visible on the enamel. These would have been used to hold menu cards at a restaurant table. Image #3 shows one holding a business card. 4.5 inches fantip to fantip, 3 inches tall. Please ask any and all questions you might have.
