Description: This stunning Haviland large 9” plate was produced on the Marseille Blank 9 with gold trim 422. It does not have a pattern name or Schleiger number but has been assigned the number H3093 by one Haviland reference book. It has been referred to as Dammouse for the famous Haviland artist, Albert-Louise Dammouse who designed the floral sprays decorating pieces in the service. It is a multi motif pattern with different floral sprays used throughout the service. It has a definite Art Nouveau aesthetic. The gold floral sprays are burnished and have green accents on the petals and burnt orange centers. The effect is stunning. This is museum quality china. The pattern is highly sought after and hard to find. The rim soup plate is approximately 9 1/8” wide. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, crazing, utensil marks, or repairs. Note there is the very slightest wear to the gold trim in places on the very outer rim. This blemish is consistent with age and normal, careful use and does not seriously detract from the beauty of this soup plate. The price is for one soup plate and you can buy up to the number remaining. Each soup has a different floral spray. The mark indicates that this plate dates from 1888-1896. Note this is not the Haviland Dammouse pattern that has been in recent production. Please email us if you have any questions. We have other pieces of this pattern
