Description: This item consists of two complete decks of playing cards in the original box produced by De La Rue & Co. of London to commemorate the Royal tour to Canada in 1939 - the very first visit to that country by any British monarch. This tour was a major event, with the Royal couple touring throughout Canada and the United States. The monarchs, are printed in full color, with the flags of both Great Britain and Canada plus Canada's national symbol, the beaver . The margins of the Queen's card are in silver, and the margins of the King's card are gilt. These cards have been checked by the seller, and each deck is complete with 52 cards plus a joker card. Some minor weare but the condition is nice given the age.
