Description: Parabelle Scattered Millefiori Art Glass Paperweight This exceptionally beautiful paperweight by Parabelle studios features a resplendent array of 19 intricate flower Canes floating on a cloud of lacy white upset muslin latticino. A darling pansy is at the center of this spaced Millefiori bouquet. The minute detail of the canes is fascinating and includes a little hearts that make up the flower petals. The design is reminiscent of a kaleideoscope. There is one date cane, PB 1986 along with the logo of two bells, a pictograph for Parabelle studios. Parabelle was the brainchild of Gary and Doris Scrutton of Portland, Oregon. This paper weight was probably one of 10 as they produced small limited editions. Gary loved Clichy and Baccarat. This design is based on an antique Clichy model. Base has a fire polished smooth rim. 3 inches in diameter 2 1/2 inches in height. Condition is is very nice. PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER AUCTIONS.
