Description: This is a lovely Vintage Tea / Coffee Set from Seltmann Weiden Bavaria W. Germany from the 1960's with a mid-century retro look. Such a fun, bright and happy pattern on this set. White background with red, orange and teal blue design. It is rare to be able to have dessert plates to go with a tea set given the age of these. This can serve six people (Please note that there are six cups but only five saucers). The cups are demitasse size which are smaller than modern day tea and coffee cups. They can be used for coffee, tea, espresso or cappuccino. I also love this size of cup as decor to hold mints or fancy sugar cubes. The set is in overall very nice vintage condition. The cups have a slight roughness around some of the rims when rubbing your finger around the edge. One cup has a tiny tiny chip on the rim. The chip is so small that I couldn't get it to show in the photos. The bottom of the pieces may have some wear and roughness from setting on surfaces. Please see photos to view condition as they are part of the description. Tiny black dots that may appear on some of the pieces typically can occur in the manufacturing process. You can see an example of this in the last photo of the tea pot lid.
