Description: This is an authentic German Regimental Stein of WWI antiquity. As the photos indicate, its condition Very Good. It is made of porcelain. Its content size is 1/2 liter. It stands 9 inches tall, has a diameter at the base of 3 5/8 inches, circumference at the handle of 3 ½ inches, and weight of 2 lb., 5.6 ounces. On the front of the stein is a scene that includes the heraldic images of the unit, the unit's colors, and a sample of the unit's weapons. On either side of the handle is a roster of soldiers in this unit. The pewter lid is decorated with a thumblift featuring a small stringed instrument and a scroll. The bottom of the stein has a lithophane of a man and woman in a kitchen, perhaps in a farewell scene. The unit is the II Bad. Grenadier Regt., No. 110, Mannheim, Germany. This stein is guaranteed to be authentic and not a reproduction. The reservists service was from 1889 to 1892. These dates are extremely rare for a WWI Regimental stein. History reflects that Germany was involved in WWI from 1914 to 1918. The 1889 to 1892 dates served by Reservist Filcher are extremely rare. This is an impressive, colorful stein as the photos indicate.
