Description: This is a large Bowie Knife and sheath made by knifemaker Ray Haselton of Burlington, VT. Ray is a longtime maker of knives, hatchets and black powder rifles. This is a knife he made recently. It's large at 15.75" long with the blade a full 11". Blade is 440 Stainless, 1/4" thick, with deep wedge grind and long clip point with false edge. Ray's initials, REH VT are stamped on the guard. Guard is nicely shaped nickel silver along with the round buttcap pommel. Handle is a gorgeous piece of sambar stag with great texture, color and slight natural curve. Black leather sheath with silver throat and frog stud. "H" is embossed on the front. A beautiful knife.
