RCDM Light Bar GUARD For The Traxxas TRX-4 Defender Rock Crawler

Description: Hello Folks! I am offering up an RCDM (RC Don Manufacturing) custom made 3D printed light bar GUARD for the Traxxas TRX-4 Defender RC rock crawler. I designed this guard to protect the Rigid light bar that comes with the Traxxas light bar kit (TRA8025 or TRA8030 - LIGHT BAR NOT INCLUDED). My Traxxas Rigid light bar was continually being knocked around every time my Defender rolled so I made this guard to keep the light bar safe in it's position at all times. It does a great job of protecting the light bar which is one of the first things contacts the ground on a roll over. Note: Although this light bar guard will mount without a Traxxas light bar kit installed it is not guaranteed to work with any other type of light bar other than the Traxxas "Rigid" kit (TRA8025 or TRA8030). If you do plan to use another type of light bar you may need to custom fabricate your own mounting system and the light bar must not be more than 154mm wide. This auction is for 1 black 3D printed ABS light bar guard top "visor", 2 - side support brackets, 1 - bottom support truss , 2 - M2.6 x 10mm hex socket tapping button head screws and 8 - M2.6 x 8mm hex socket tapping button head screws (RC rock crawler vehicle and light bar in pictures is not included). To install the light bar guard you must first remove the existing M2.5 x 6mm cap screws from the light bar and slide the support truss sideways into the roof rack until it is all the way forward (see photos). Then you can use the two M2.6 x 10mm screws (provided) to attach the light bar over the support truss as seen in the photos. The side brackets are then installed onto the sides of the support truss with four of the M2.6 x 8mm screws (provided) taking note of how the brackets are orientated with the mounting holes closest to the top of the bracket (see photos). Finally you can install the light bar visor with the four remaining 8mm long screws to finish the install. Note: Raw FDM printed parts have a rough finish due to the manufacturing process. Please look carefully at the pictures I have included in this auction before bidding. ABS, PLA and PETG plastic printed parts are NOT UNBREAKABLE and WILL FAIL if pushed beyond their mechanical ability. RCDM parts are not made for "bashing" but for practical scale appearance and protection. We will stand behind our workmanship but cannot assume liability for these products if used in an irresponsible manner. All of my 3D printed parts are made right here in the USA on American Made FDM type printer machines.
