Description: Offered here are two bags of reproduction T-clips (collectors term, Gilbert generally called them paper fasteners) for organizing A.C. Gilbert Erector sets. The buyer will receive (100) 1”-long nickel-plated T-clips and (50) 2”-long nickel-plated T-clips. One of the listing photos shows the top tray of a No. 4 ½ set with several parts “T-clipped” to an MN base plate tray. Gilbert also clipped parts to cardboard inserts making for a stunning display; so many bright and shiny parts to look over! The T-clip was inserted through the part(s), then through the insert/base plate, and the “legs” were bent under the insert/base plate to secure the part(s). The typical lengths of these clips are 1” and/or 1 ½” long. NOTE: This batch has proper 1” long clips, and 2” long ones which are longer than the originals. Does the extra length cause a problem? Absolutely not. NOTE: The 6” scale shown in the photos IS NOT included; it is there for (pun intended) scaling purposes only. Also, the No. 4 ½ set tray and parts ARE NOT included. The buyer will receive (100) 1”-long nickel-plated and (50) 2”-long nickel-plated T-clips only. Don’t hesitate to ask questions through eBay’s messaging service. Shipping via USPS Ground Advantage in a 9” x 4” x 1” padded envelope weighing 7 ounces. If you are interested in learning more about Gilbert Erector sets, Google ‘ACGHS’ for the home page of the A. C. Gilbert Heritage Society. Included in the photos is a sample page of an Erector parts guide I wrote about 10 years ago; it details the variations of all of the parts used between 1933 – 1962 and is available as a free download from the ACGHS website. Another trivial fact; the ACGHS past president and webmaster is one of A. C. Gilbert’s grandsons!
