Description: Gorgeous Antique Chandelier Beautiful restored antique condition! A true antique from the turn of the century when full-electric lighting was becoming more common. The brass has been polished & lacquered to protect its shine, the wiring is updated & new sockets have been installed in the original brass socket covers. The glass shades are gorgeous, with no chips or cracks. They are frosted & etched (with texture that you can feel). All the beautiful ornate brass looks amazing and - details really catch your eye. No cracks or dents in the brass. The brass shade holders have patent dates of Dec 9, 1890 and Sept 29, 1896. We believe this is made by Faries, however we cannot say for sure. Use 4 standard-base light bulbs up to 60 watts or LED bulbs for any brightness you like, as they use low wattage for bright light. Here are details about the restorer: The late Bob Daly was a marathon runner and worked in his family's burglar alarm business until he started his own antique lighting restoration business in Fenton, Michigan in the 1980's: "Historic Lighting Restoration Services and Sales". He was restoring antique lighting for almost 40 years. This beautiful light was thoughtfully and skillfully restored by Bob to the tiniest detail. From new wiring to cleaning to touching up, buffing and polishing, Bob was a master at the details. He loved what he did and was excited to share these restored works of art with the next generation (see a newspaper article picture of him in photo #24). He worked with loving care, and you can be proud to own one of his restorative works of art.
