Description: Richie Havens has beautifully signed (but did not personalize) this first edition, first print copy of this hardcover book They Can't Hide Us Anymore. Mr. Havens boldly signed a friend forever, Richie Havens. Mr. Havens, a singer-songwriter, offers a glimpse of the creativity and social conscience of the 1960s and describes his musical career and dedication to the causes of conservation, children's rights, and peace. You really do feel as if you're listening to Richie Havens talk to you. An optimistic and idealistic person to the very end. He covers his life growing up, the scene in NYC's the Village in the 50s and 60s, and, of course, Woodstock (where Havens actually sang for 6 hours while they waited for other bands to make it through the traffic. It is a must-have for any performing arts enthusiast and American history buff. The book itself is unread and the binding is tight and corners sharp (please see pictures). While the book is in Like New condition, the dust jacket is slightly shelf worn. However, it has no tears nor writing on it other than Mr. Havens inscription and signature. This book will carefully ship in a box the next day or sooner. Questions? Please ask. Thanks for looking!
