Description: Selling here 2 RMIs (Radio Magnetic Indicators or sometimes called course indicators) that date back to the 1960s. These were used in the T-33 Shooting Star, F-86 Sabre, F-89 Scorpion, F-100 Super Sabre, B-52, and many other aircraft. There are 4 RMIs shown here. Two RMIs have green nomenclature (1st Set) and the two RMIs have white nomenclature (2nd Set) - The price is for 2 (Two) RMIs, with either green faces or white faces. The first person to purchase gets to choose the color wanted - The second purchaser gets what's left. The RMI is a more advanced form of ADF display in that it provides more information than a standard ADF. While the ADF shows relative angle of the transmitter with respect to the aircraft, the RMI display incorporates a compass card, actuated by the aircraft's compass system, and permits the operator to read the magnetic bearing to or from the transmitting station, without resorting to arithmetic. These RMI's incorporate two direction needles. Often one needle (the thicker, double-barred needle) is connected to an ADF and the other (generally thin or single-barred) is connected to a VOR. Using multiple indicators, a navigator can accurately fix the position of their aircraft using triangulation, without requiring the aircraft to pass over the top of the station. The cases of these instruments are used but in pretty good condition, the faces of the instruments are very nice! The pictures are of the actual instruments being sold here - First come first serve! Note: This item will cost me about $18 to ship, so if you can arrange for local pickup in Toquerville, UT, then I can lower the price by $18
