Robert Tate w. tag. Struck on orichalcum with a beautiful obverse and a poorly struck/worn reverse. A perfect candidate for display or jewelry. Orichalcum ( or aurichalcum) was the name the Romans gave to the copper-zinc brassy alloy they used to strike sestertii and dupondii. Its thought this literally meant "gold copper" adn was more valuble than regular bronze, which was reserved for the as and small bronze denominations.
