It will be securely adhered to the package wall for the safest shipping method possible. PLEASE BE ADVISED: From October to March, we ship these plants in their dormant state. This means they will have no leaves. The stem will be strewn with buds for this coming spring's growth. If you live in a southern state, these will push new growth upon planting them as dormancy is dependent on hours of daylight and temperature. It is now widely cultivated as a popular ornamental. General Description: A multi-stemmed flowering perennial adorned with trumpeting white flowers with glowing red centers. A must-have for summer gardens. Hardiness Zone: 5 to 8 Maintenance: Low Mature Height: 8 to 12 feet Mature Width: 6 to 10 feet Plant Details: Growth Habit: Erect, vase-shaped, multi-stemmed, spreading habit with upright branches. Moderate to rapid growth. Leaf Structure: Appear late in the season (May), coarsely toothed with 3 distinct lobes, green to yellowish green that are alternate and broadly ovate and palmately veined, about 3 long. They have no real fall color. Stem Structure: Thin and grey lenticeled with raised leaf scars and small buds, doesnt branch much unless pruned. Bark Structure: Grey brown somewhat rough looking Soil Preference: Sand, clay, loam, chalk, likes an alkaline to neutral pH range (5.5-7) Watering Preference: Medium Sunlight Preference: Full Sun to Part Shade Flowers best in full sun. Pruning back to 2 to 3 buds may produce larger blooms.
