Description: DESCRIPTION: A beautiful RS Prussia floral tankard. It is unmarked on the bottom, but identified in the RS Prussia collectors’ references sources (Gaston Plate 186/Marple Mold RS33) as having been made by the Reinhold Schlegelmilch factory (Ca. 1900). Its ornate mold features eight (8) panels around the sides, four (4) feet, embossed designs by the rim and base, and an ornate handle. The floral pattern has lots of pretty poppies and other flowers. The upper background on the front is robin’s egg blue (w/white hand painted shadow flowers), with a tan upper background on the back side. There is gold trim highlighting on the base, rim and handle. This tankard is 10” tall, 8 ½” across from handle to spout, and 5” in diameter of the body. An outstanding and colorful RS Prussia fine porcelain piece! CONDITION: There are no chips, flakes, cracks, hairlines or repairs. The glaze finish is clean and shiny, and the gold trim is nearly 100% intact except on the upper handle area (where held).
