Description: Edison ~ Columbia ~ Horn Connector Standard, Home, GEM, Fireside, More Nickel Plated Swivel & Soft Rubber Tube Use this swivel and rubber tube to connect reproducers such as the Edison 'C', 'H' and 'K' or similar Columbia reproducers to most crane mounted horns. Without some means of swiveling, a rubber tube tends to apply pressure to the reproducer which can keep the carriage from moving freely resulting in poor tracking and skipping of the cylinder during play. The nickel plated tube is precisely machined with an inside diameter that accurately fits over the neck of reproducers like the Edison 'C', 'H', and 'K'. It is about 1" long which fully covers the length of the reproducer's neck. It facilitates a good seal but also allows it to rotate on the neck as the carriage moves. The swiveling action ensures that the carriage does not bind the half nut on the feed screw during play. All nickel plating is done in my shop. This is a simple design that I based on an original device of a similar type. It's an old and simple idea, but a very beneficial one. The overall length is about 4" and the rubber may be trimmed to suit your application.
