Description: SANTANA Description Scarce and highly collectible original first printing concert poster advertising legendary Santana at the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna [Austria] on Friday, 30th November, 1973, in support of the Welcome album, produced by Carlos Santana, Mike Shrive and Tom Coster, and released on 9th November, 1973. Welcome was Santana’s fifth studio album and it followed the jazz-fusion formula that Caravanserai had inaugurated, but with an expanded and different lineup. Gregg Rolie had left the band along with Neal Schon to form Journey, and they were replaced by Tom Coster, Leon Thomas and John McLaughlin. The album also featured Alice Coltrane as a pianist on the album’s opening track, “Going Home”. A scarce and highly collectible piece of original early 1970s European Santana concert memorabilia. The poster measures 30.4 x 42.5 cm (approx. 12" by 16.7 " inches) and is beautifully printed in deep orange and black inks on thin, uncoated paper stock.
