For your consideration is this pair of (2) TWO, USED, VINTAGE, EMPTY, SCOTCH BRAND, 10.50” DIAMETER ALUMINUM METAL AUDIO TAPE REELS for use with 1.0” WIDE RECORDING TAPE. These vintage aluminum reels were used on a multi-track tape recorder back in the mid 1980’s and have been in storage since about the mid 1990’s. The empty reels feature the classic 3-window design and weigh approximately 1.0 pound, 4.50 ounces each and 2.0 pounds, 9.0 ounces together. The reels measure approximately 10.50” in diameter and 1-3/16” wide. The center hub is a 3.0” diameter keyed center hole opening. The inside width of the reel measures approximately 1.0” wide. The depth of the reel measures approximately 3.0” deep from the center spool to the outer edge of the reel. Refer to description photos #10, #11, #12, #13, #14, #15, #16 and #17 to confirm weight and size dimensions described. The metal reels are made out of satin-finish aluminum (non-magnetic metal ) with a black metal 3.0” center hub that is held in place by (6) six steel (magnetic metal) rivets as clearly depicted in the description photos. The only marking on the reels is the black printed brand name logo “SCOTCH”. Refer to description photos #1, #2, #3, #5 and #7 for more close-up details about what I have described. Overall, as can be verified in the description photos, the reels remain in good looking and functional condition with minor surface scratches and scattered small blemishes on both the front and back surfaces of the metal reels. These noted scratches and blemishes are consistent with normal use and age and do not affect its functionality. The internal center spool surfaces also look to be in good condition having minor surface blemishes from being in long-term storage. Refer to description photo #9 for more details about the inner spool. This audio reels can be used once again as it was originally intended for and/or used as a piece of decor or wall art in a music studio, office or den.
