DESCRIPTION OF THE STEEL BAND -and- BALL SEAL: Each security seal is a "one use" seal which snaps (locks) into place and is non-removable without leaving a clear indication of tampering. Seal must be cut off or forcefully twisted off to remove it. Each seal bares the imprint "USA" along with a unique seven-digit serial number (a letter followed by six-numbers). Incorporating “USA” in the seal's lettering / embossing informs shipping companies, freight forwarders, maritime companies and customs agencies that the container's ORIGIN was from the USA (i.e. the shipment originated in the United States of America or its territories). SEAL DIMENSIONS: Each seal measures 8 1/2" long by 5/16" wide (215 mm x 8 mm). 100 seals weigh 1 pound, 3.8 ounces (562 grams); thus, each seal weighs approximately 0.198 ounce (5.62 grams).
