Description: For sale is a great set of 4 Sterling Silver soup spoons made in Vienna , Austria in 1838. It would have been made during the early part of the second Rococo period or Rokoko revival since they still show the typical Biedermeier tip. The design work is unusually nice and they are very heavy weighing in at about 330 grams together. Each spoon is marked on the back as shown with the Austrian silver mark with the city letter A for Vienna and 1838 as the year mark. Each spoon is about 8.25 inches long and the bowl is 3 inches long by 1.625 inches wide. In great condition with some minor oxidation / tarnishing which is an easy job to polish. 19th century Silberloeffel Oesterreich If you like my goodies have a look at my other auctions for a lot more top maker pieces like KPM , Sevres and so on.
