Description: ABOUT Shito is a Ghanaian pepper sauce packed with shrimp, fish, hot peppers, onions, garlic and spices. USE Use this how you would use any chili or pepper sauce. It can do a dance with just about anything. Use it for added flavor or for some heat. We especially love it as a dipping sauce for spring rolls. CARE AND STORAGE Shito can be stored at room temperature before opening. It is cooked until all the moisture in the ingredients evaporate and contains no preservatives. Refrigerate after opening. Do not be alarmed by the layer of oil on the surface of the shito when you open the jar. The oil serves as a barrier to moisture which reduces the shelf life. Take care of your shito like it is a luxury item because it is. Only use a dry spoon. This cannot be emphasized enough.
