Description: Shueisha ULTRA JUMP Manga Magazine - Issue 121 November 2009 Range Murata CoverThis item is: one (1) full-size "Ultra Jump" magazine issue #121, AND, one (1) digest-size reprint of "Ultra Jump" magazine issue #1. General Description & History: Ultra Jump is a popular "seinen" manga magazine ("seinen" is a genre of comic books marketed toward young adult men) published monthly by Shueisha, only in Japan. This particular issue, #121, published November of 2009, marks Ultra Jump's 10th Anniversary. To celebrate ten years of Ultra Jump, Shueisha released this special issue packaged with a miniature reprinted version of their premiere issue #1, originally published in November of 1999. Both the regular-size issue #121 and the miniature appended issue #1 reprint book are included for sale together in this listing! The November 2009 issue features over 560 pages of action-packed seinen manga by famous Japanese mangaka (comic artists) such as Hirohiko Araki (creator of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and Steel Ball Run), Yukito Kishiro (creator of Battle Angel Alita), and Range Murata (concept designer for Last Exile, and Blue Sumbarine No. 6, whose artwork is featured on both books' covers). The interiors of the books are printed in black & white, and feature a few full-color pages, and a few full-color fold-out poster pages. In addition to the hundreds of pages of sequential manga stories and artwork, the books also contain several advertisements for other manga and various merchandise from Shueisha, as well as some interesting feature articles. These imported Japanese magazines are RARE outside of Japan, the perfect find for any anime or manga enthusiast, comic collector, or fan of Range Murata and other Japanese artists. Don't miss your chance to own this incredible and beautifully drawn piece of Ultra Jump publication history! Content Warning: Ultra Jump magazine is intended for ADULTS only, NOT for children! Among the contents are adult themes, depictions of gore/violence, and some partial and full nudity. Language: These books are NOT in English! They are Japanese-language only! (If you do not know how to read Japanese, you probably won't be able to read them, but the artwork is fantastic anyway!) Item size: The full-size Issue #121 is approximately 7" wide x 10" high x 1.25" thick. The digest-size Issue #1 reprint is approximately 5" wide x 7" high x 0.5" thick. Condition Notes: EXCELLENT! Both books have very minor wear from ordinary storage and being moved around a bit over the years, but are otherwise in excellent cosmetic condition. They have been kept dry and clean, with no markings or tears or creases on any of the pages or covers. See listing scans and photographs for detail.
