Description: Vintage Soho Pottery Solian Ware Trinket Box/Planter Geese Motif, VG This is a charming pottery box decorated with a flock of white geese on a black background. It is an art deco style design. There is a checkerboard pattern around the top and bottom edges. And there is a line of gilding on top and bottom edge as well. The geese, including goslings, seem to be walking, some with their beaks open. It is marked Soho Pottery Company, Cobridge. This mark suggests it was made between 1910 and 1944. Condition: There is crazing, which can be seen in the photos and some discoloration from age of the interior. This would make a great planter or dresser box for jewelry.
