Description: This is a 3D printed alternative Sony ALC-SH158 lens shade. The design is carefully modeled after the original in order to maintain original fit and attaches directly via the original lens mount.We’ve carefully selected the material and tuned our production process to produce an impact resistant durable shade with a super matte finish. These shades mount using a novel mechanism that is more robust and easier to use than the original shade. To install or remove the shade place one finger on each of the nubs on either side and lightly squeeze the shade while sliding it over the shade mounting boss on the lens. By gently squeezing at these points the lower part of the shade changes from oval in one axis to oval in the opposite and the locking blocks can clear the lens boss, when pressure is removed the locking blocks engage with the boss on the lens and firmly lock the shade in place. There are two options available, this is the compact version which is shorter at 112mm total length and cannot be reverse stored but is easier to store in a camera bag due to it’s shorter length.
